What are Nomad Navigators?
Nomad Navigators are advocates for Nomad Health travelers. Nomad Navigators provide personalized, expert support at every step of the Nomad travel journey. If you need help navigating the job search platform or require an extra hand finding that perfect travel assignment, they’ve got you covered. Although we empower our travelers to take control of their careers through our user-friendly tech, we never want them to feel alone in the process.
How are Nomad Navigators different from recruiters?
Nomad Navigators differ from traditional agency recruiters in a couple of ways. At Nomad, we empower our travelers to drive their own job search experience. You choose the level of support you want. Travelers can opt-in for a more hands-on experience with a Navigator during your job search who will help you look for open positions or Nomad empowers travelers to discover jobs on your own terms with easy access to transparent job details, all right at your fingertips. Nomad gives you the power to discover exciting jobs that match your financial, personal, and professional goals yourself... . Our Navigators are here to offer you support when you need it, but they won’t overstep your boundaries.
What can I expect from my Nomad Navigator?
Wherever you are in the travel journey, you can expect friendly and well-rounded support for your questions and concerns. For example, if you have problems applying for a travel position, you can contact a Navigator and they’ll troubleshoot issues in your application to help you move forward. If you’re waiting on the approval of credentialing documents and have questions, a Navigator can help there as well.

Do I work with the same Navigator the entire time?
During your job search journey, you will have the same support person to help guide you all the way through the time when you accept your offer! After you have your perfect job locked in, there will be different support teams that engage for your full assignment; this includes credentialing, clinical orientation support and even payroll and benefits support. You’ll have various Navigators—who are experts in their roles—assist you along the way. If you want support during your job search a Navigator will be there for you via call, text, and email to help you secure your next assignment. Otherwise, you’re in control of your search and you can reach out for additional support. Once you’re on assignment, you’ll have a dedicated On-Assignment Navigator as the point person for all your needs including payroll, benefits, and extensions. This Navigator is fully available to you via call, text, and email throughout the entirety of your assignment.
What if I need clinical support during my assignment?
If you need support for issues related to clinical practice while on assignment, our Clinical Navigators are available to guide you. Being clinicians themselves, they've got years of hands-on experience to back their expertise. They can offer one-on-one coaching to help you overcome challenges in the clinical setting and provide educational support to help pass competencies before an assignment. For situations concerning behavioral and professional conduct issues, our Clinical Navigators are also available to offer coaching.
How do I contact a Nomad Navigator?
The best way to reach a Navigator is:
- Use the Help Chat Box in the bottom right corner of the mobile app or website.
- Call or text (866)-656-6623.
- For any other questions, you can always email support@nomadhealth.com or submit your questions here.
While our Navigators are available for emergencies 24/7, they’re most responsive during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM EST.
